Print this pageForward this document  CRA Business Consent or Cancelling Business Consent request

Efile service providers will have the capability to electronically submit the Business Consent/Cancel Business Consent Confirmation Page with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

From the Efile menu, clicking CRA Business Consent or Cancelling Business Consent and OK will transmit the Business Consent/Cancel Business Consent Confirmation Page.

After you click OK, DT Max will automatically submit each confirmation page separately. The files will be processed in real time, meaning that the response will be almost instantaneous. The results can be viewed from the Results log or from within the client's file.

Please note that if the submission is accepted, DT Max will write the result into the Progress keyword group. If it is rejected, the error code will be written into the EfileRepError keyword and/or EfileRepXError keyword, as applicable.

IMPORTANT: You are required to retain a copy of the Business Consent/Cancel Business Consent Confirmation Page, signed by the authorized person, as the CRA may request a copy in the future. Please do not submit paper copies of the confirmation unless requested to do so by the CRA.

IMPORTANT: Please note the Business Consent/Cancel Business Consent Confirmation Page will no longer be displayed once the electronic submission has been accepted and the return has been recalculated. To display it, you must delete the applicable Progress keyword. To avoid electronically submitting a duplicate Business Consent/Cancel Business Consent Confirmation Page in a subsequent year, we would recommend entering the Consent keyword and the option "Do not print CRA consent (already submitted or oth. reason)".
